We are proud to announce that Jeroen van Smeden, our Director of Education, received official recognition from the Education Board of Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences (BPS), Leiden University, for his effort in completely renewing a full course on drug development. Particularly the way in which modern drug development was packed in a simulation-style course of 8 weeks was greatly appreciated. He received a final grade of 8.9/10 according to the official evaluation forms, a grade that has rarely, if ever, been received for a (completely new) course and teacher of BPS.
We are very happy with the positive feedback of the students and the Education Board, as educating students and professionals is one of CHDR's core values. Our view of education is that it should be innovative, technology-driven, and closely linked to research. Together with our partners — including Leiden University and Leiden University Medical Center — our goal is to maximise the quality of education by combining state-of-the-art digital technologies with personal interactions between teachers and students.
This acknowledgement of our efforts to deliver high quality education motivates us to deliver the same, if not higher, quality education in the upcoming years, and renewing education in other courses as well.
