Job description

As a pharmacometrician, you will join our Statistics & Pharmacometrics team. In this role you will be responsible for the independent coordination and execution of multiple complex pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) analyses of the clinical studies conducted at CHDR. Modelling projects will primarily be performed based on data from phase 1 studies with diverse pharmacodynamic outcome measures. You will have the opportunity to explore new scientific insights and innovative analysis methodologies. Furthermore, you will be consulted for the design of new study protocols. The results of your research will be used for research reports, but also for scientific publications and dissertations on which you will collaborate as a co-author.

Apart from your own analyses you will be guiding research interns and PhD students in the field of pharmacometrics. Additionally, you will coordinate and execute concentration-QTc analyses as well as interim and final Non-compartmental analyses (NCAs). You will communicate with different (internal) stakeholders, to inform them on the progress of your research and ensure that results are delivered within the agreed timelines.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for an experienced pharmacometrician. You have a PhD in PK-PD modelling, disease modelling and/or simulation in the context of drug research and development, confirmed with a track-record of peer-reviewed publications. Extensive experience with pharmacological/statistical software tools including R and NONMEM are required. Experience with WinNonLin is preferred.

What do we offer you?

You will join a dynamic, passionate organisation and will work within a small team in a multi-disciplinary environment. We start with an onboarding program, during which you will get familiar with all facets of work, your colleagues and current research. We offer a pleasant workplace with an open, multidisciplinary work environment. We also include good secondary employment conditions such as an end-of-year bonus, personal development opportunities and many social events. You will start with a one-year contract with prospects of a permanent contract. Working from home is supported, including laptop, extra screen etcetera. Additionally, CHDR is easily accessible from Leiden Central station at 10 minutes walking distance. Public transport costs will be reimbursed up to 100% or you can purchase an (electric) bicycle via our company bicycle plan.
