Method Development Clinical Scientist

The Centre for Human Drug Research (CHDR), originating from Leiden University Medical Center, is a top class Leiden-based contract research organization. These methods and techniques are required for demonstration of drug effects in clinical studies, performed in healthy volunteers or patients.

CHDR is recruiting a Method Development Clinical Scientist with high affinity for development, validation and clinical implementation of novel technologies.

Key tasks and responsibilities

· Coordinates and executes method development projects and keeps project team and research director informed on progress

· May act as project leader for method development studies

· Develops clinical study protocols including literature search and database definition in collaboration with the study team

· Writes clinical study reports in collaboration with study team

· Writes publications for scientific journals, congress and symposia presentations

· Acts as contact person for study sponsor and other external parties

· Supervises and trains students in limited therapeutic areas

· Develops SOPs

· Implements SOPs

· Performs Quality Control on relevant processes

Job Requirements:

· Master’s degree or equivalent (Medicine, Technical Medicine or Life Sciences)

· Affinity with technical research as evident from study or experience otherwise

· Fluent in Dutch and English
